Hydraulic Sample Punch Press for Tensile Specimen Preparation SPM-1600

  .

The SPM-1600 is a hydraulic sample punch press designed for the preparation of specimens for tensile and bending tests. With a force capacity of 1600 kN, the machine provides an efficient solution for preparing samples from ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, and plate materials.

Proper specimen preparation is an important part of mechanical testing. The geometry and condition of the specimen can directly affect the reliability and reproducibility of the subsequent test. The SPM-1600 is designed specifically to facilitate this preparation stage.

Hydraulic Press for Tensile Specimen Preparation

The SPM-1600 Hydraulic Sample Punch Press can be used to prepare specimens for tensile and bending tests in applications such as metallurgy, aerospace, aviation, military, automotive, quality inspection, and universities.

Its open C-type structure allows samples to be mounted from three directions, making it suitable for different sample shapes. Large sheets can also be punched directly without being cut down beforehand.

Fast and Practical Sample Preparation.

The SPM-1600 is designed to simplify the specimen preparation process. The operating sequence consists of mounting the sample, activating the press, punching the specimen, and removing the finished sample.

Its T-type ball console facilitates mold replacement, with the mold change taking approximately one minute. This helps reduce preparation time when different specimen configurations are required.

Different Specimen Dimensions.

The machine can produce specimens with gauge lengths of 50, 80, and 100 mm, as well as proportional specimens. Customized specimen configurations can also be produced according to application requirements.

The maximum material thickness depends on the material:

  • Titanium and stainless steel: up to 4 mm
  • Steel: up to 6 mm
  • Aluminum and copper: up to 8 mm

Accuracy in Specimen Preparation

The SPM-1600 provides a tolerance of less than 0.02 mm in the parallel section of the specimen. The punching process is also designed to have little effect on specimen hardening during preparation.

A fine finish can be achieved with a grinding machine when required by the application.

Standards and Applications

The SPM-1600 is designed for specimen preparation associated with standards including:

  • ISO 6892
  • ASTM E8
  • ASTM A370
