Digital Lathe for Round Sample Preparation DLRS-700

  .

The DLRS-700 is a digital lathe designed for the preparation of round specimens used in material testing. Its system allows cylindrical samples to be machined according to the required dimensions, providing a specialized solution for laboratories and specimen preparation areas.

Preparing a round specimen requires control of its dimensions and geometry so that the sample can subsequently be used in the corresponding test. The DLRS-700 is designed specifically for this stage, incorporating programmable software that allows specimen dimensions to be established and saved for repeatable preparation.

Turning for Round Test Specimens

The DLRS-700 Digital Lathe for Round Samples is intended for the preparation of round specimens according to ASTM, ISO, and other major international standards. Its software allows specimen dimensions to be programmed and saved for repeated preparation.

This capability is useful when a laboratory needs to prepare multiple specimens with the same characteristics, helping maintain a consistent preparation process.

Capacity for Different Workpieces

The DLRS-700 has a maximum swing over the bed of 330 mm and a maximum swing over the carriage of 148 mm. It can accommodate workpieces with a maximum length of 700 mm, while the bed width is 330 mm.

The lathe is equipped with a 250 mm three-jaw chuck for securing workpieces during machining. It also features a 60 mm spindle bore and an MT4 spindle taper.

Machining Control and Positioning

The spindle speed range is 150–2500 rpm, allowing the machine to be adjusted according to the specimen preparation requirements.

The tool carrier can be configured with 4, 6, or 8 stations and accepts tools up to 25 × 25 mm. The minimum setting unit is 0.001 mm for both the longitudinal Z axis and horizontal X axis.

The tool post movement speed reaches 8 m/min on the Z axis and 4 m/min on the X axis, providing controlled movement during the machining process.

Tailstock and Motor

The DLRS-700 tailstock uses an MT4 taper and provides a maximum quill travel of 120 mm. The machine is equipped with a 5.5 kW motor for the turning process.

These features allow the DLRS-700 to be incorporated into laboratories where round specimens need to be prepared in a controlled and repeatable manner.
