Mobile spark optical emission spectrometers (OES) stand out by providing complete chemical analysis of critical alloying elements with very low detection limits—something that portable X-ray and LIBS analyzers cannot achieve. These include elements such as carbon, phosphorus, sulfur, boron, arsenic, and tin in stainless and low-alloy steels, as well as nitrogen in duplex steels.

Because of this, spark OES spectrometry is considered the most reliable and widely used method worldwide for generating and verifying MTRs (Mill Test Reports or Factory Test Certificates).

 

Our mobile and portable spectrometers also comply with the most stringent PMI (Positive Material Identification) requirements, including API 5L, API RP 578, ASME Section IX B&PV, and ISO 17025 standards.
