After cutting the specimen, the next step is mounting. The aim of mounting is to handle small or odd shaped specimens and to protect fragile materials, thin layers or coating during preparation as well as to provide good edge retention. VideoTest-Metal software is designed for analyzing of optical microscope images of metals and alloys. It performs analyses according to international ASTM and ISO standards. The software includes several standard methods and a possibility to work in a manual mode.

VideoTesT-Structure 4.0 Analyzer
The analyzer is used to research various materials (geological materials, powders, oils and lubricants, plastics, ceramics etc.) and analyze their structure. Image acquisition, all the necessary measurements and saving of results are performed by specific VideoTesT-Structure software
The system enables you to set up the input of the image of polished specimen, powder etc. in the live video mode (adjust focusing, brightness and contrast, use signal accumulation, if required), select the field of view and capture image.
Objects on image (grains, inclusions, constituents etc.) are detected automatically by brightness and color, or manually. The detected objects are automatically measured. The results are represented in table form. Objects can be classified by any of the parameters measured. The measurement results obtained are statistically manipulated.

Digital Blood Cell software is a program for haematologists. It is used to count leucocytic formula, to analyze the size of erythrocytes with the ability to build the Price-Jones curve, to estimate poikilocytosis and hypochromia, to count the approximate number of thrombocytes (by Fonio). Image capturing and image processing are performed simultaneously. This results in considerable decrease of the time of analysis.
VideoTesT Morphology
Universal Image Analysis software for biological and medical images represents a powerful work station for physician or researcher. It can be used to acquire and enhance images, to analyze morphology and optical properties of any objects, and to save images and all the obtained measurement results to database.
The specimen is placed on the stage. The image of the field of interest is captured. The captured image can be enhanced with numerous filters. It can be provided with text comments and calibration marker.
Objects on image (cells, cell structures, nucleus etc.) are detected automatically by brightness and color, or manually. The detected objects are automatically measured. The results are represented in table form. Objects can be classified by any of the parameters measured
VideoTesT Sperm
VideoTesT-Sperm 2.1 CASA is used to estimate motility and concentration of spermatozoa in native specimens and to analyze the morphometry of stained specimens.
Motility analysis. Native specimen is placed into a counting chamber and is observed under microscope. A video containing moving spermatozoa can be recorde at a frame rate of 50 fps.The clips are automatically processed by VideoTesT-Sperm 2.1 software. A set of motility parameters according to the WHO standards and concentration of the spermatozoa are estimated. To obtain statistically valid results, several clips can be recorded. The results of the analysis of each clip are summarized and transferred to the database.
Morphology analysis. Stained specimen is placed on the microscope stage, and focusing is performed by observing the image viewed on the computer screen. After this, the image is input and transferred to the software for processing. The software dtermined the morphological parameters of the spermatozoa and reveals pathology.
VideoTesT-Colony Count
VideoTesT-Colony Count software is an extension of VideoTesT-Master 4.0 and is designed for counting and sizing of bacteria colonies. It includes four pre-defined methods of counting and measuring of one, two, three, or four colonies.
VideoTesT-Colony Count main functions: b/w or color image acquisition with an analog/digital camera or scanner. IMAGE ANALYSIS SOFTWARE FOR GENETICS
VideoTesT-Karyo 3.X Software: Automatic karyotyping; Digital Cytogenetic Software System
The software is designed for automatic karyotyping of human chromosomes stained by different techniques (G, Q, R), and for semiautomatic karyotyping of chromosomes of animals and plants.
By using the VideoTesT-Karyo 3x, the images of chromosome specimens observed in the microscope are captured and transferred to PC with specific VideoTesT-Karyo 3.1 or VideoTesT-Karyo 3.0 installed.
The system enables you to set up the image input in the live video mode (adjust focusing, brightness and contrast, use signal accumulation, if required), select the field of view and capture image.
Chromosomes will be automatically detected on the image, crossing or overlapping chromosomes will be separated. If required, the operator can correct the automatic detection by using specific powerful tools.
Fluorescent In Situ Hybridization (FISH) - is a technique applied to locate and identify the DNA sequences directly on the cells and chromosomes.
The numerous applications of FISH include: identification of the precise gene locations on the chromosomes, visualization of the sub-microscopic deletions, identification of specific chromosome rearrangements and defects, rapid determination of aneuploidy, visualization of the specific chromosome segments in the interphase nuclei, identification of the genetic similarity between the remote species, and others.
FISH analysis is performed using the defined DNA probes labeled with fluorescent dyes (DAPI, FITC, RHODAMINE and others). These probes will bind to the specific regions of the chromosomes (cells) that they match. The regions will fluoresce under the fluorescent microscope, and so one can detect the presence of the DNAs/genes.
СGH - Comparative Genomic Hybridization or CGH is a cytogenetic technique developed for detecting of chromosome aberrations: deletions and amplifications. The tremendous strength of the CGH technique is the capability to analyze all the genomic aberrations within one experiment. is based on comparison of the test DNA and the reference DNA. They are labeled with different fluorochromes, mixed 1:1 and hybridized on metaphase chromosomes from a normal human. Chromosome aberrations are estimated using the difference of fluorescence intensity of two fluorochromes. The so called Fluorescence Ratio (FR) is calculated. The changes in the FR values along the chromosome deliver information on the number of DNA copies in the chromosome region of interest in comparison with the reference DNA.
CGH technique is widely used for diagnostic purposes. It is applied in clinical genetics to detect amplifications and deletions in tumor cells and cells of patients with congenital or acquired chromosomal abnormalities.
