The range of Ergotest testers effects Rockwell hardness testing in conformity with ISO standards. On plastic materials the Rockwell hardness testing is according to standard ASTM D785. Additionally, Brinell and Vickers indentations can be performed, to be measured by means of a separate optical device, in conformity with the appropriate ISO standards.

The universal hardness testing machines from KB are perfectly designed for automatic tests acc. to the standards. They can be used in a load step range from 0,2 to 3000 kgf for hardness tests acc. to Vickers, Brinell, Rockwell, Superficial Rockwell, Knoop (up to HK 1), Ball Indentation Hardness (for plastics) as well as Vickers and Brinell Depth Measurement. Fully automatic test procedure. Optical evaluation of the indentations are made on the big LCD screen via a built-in CCD camera plus a 10-step motorized zoom objective. All this give the guarantee for high precission measurements acc. to the standards. All hardness values are directly displayed digitally.The operating panel is very easy to use and extremelly powerful. The indentations shown on the color LCD screen are clear, sharp and contrasty - no more parallactic errors. Unique LED ring light illumination for Brinell and Vickers evaluation in a so-called dark field. That gives a light indentation and a dark surface of the specimen which will give you more precise measurements on specimens with bad surface and on softer materials as the real edges of an indentation can be seen clearly only with this type of illumination.

Physical Test Solutions (PTS) offers a complete line of hardness testers for Rockwell testing applications. Reliability and repeatability is a trait in all models including the basic analog model as well as the digital model. All testers are delivered with a standard set of accessories including hardness test blocs, anvils and penetrators.

 

  • RDHD

Model RDHT Rockwell hardness tester performs standard Rockwell tests with the convenience of a digital display.  The unit uses a frictionless loading shaft instead of the conventional type. The application of preliminary test force is controlled by a magnetic clutch, so that the accuracy of preliminary test force is greatly increased. The process of applying, holding and releasing of total test force is performed automatically, thus eliminating human error in those operations. The measured hardness value and data processing result can be recorded automatically on the printer.

Vickers Hardness Testers VT-MHT Software

 

 

 

The VT-MHT software provides an ability to measure the indents and estimate the microhardness of the metal samples in accordance with the ASTM E 384 and E92 requirements.

 

When the user runs this routine he shall first select the type of the indenter used to make indents. The routine provides ability to measure microhardness by Vickers (square indenter) and Knoop (rhombic indenter). Then the user shall open the image to perform measurements. After the image with the indents is loaded in the software window the user shall outline the indents on the image. The table in the bottom part of the software window displays the data on the length of the big and small diagonals of the indents and the calculated microhardness values.
